A Cleveland Legacy

CCCFDC supported the unveiling of the Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster Tribute Plaza outside the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland on August 2, 2025, honoring Cleveland as the birthplace of Superman.

The plaza features an 18-foot Superman statue and additional commemorative elements celebrating the creators and their legacy.

Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster met while attending Glenville High School in Cleveland, where they began developing the Superman character. Joanne Siegel later served as the inspiration for Lois Lane.

Stay tuned for exciting upcoming celebrations honoring Superman and the visionary creators who brought him to life. We encourage you to visit the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland website and follow HCCC on social media for the most current event announcements, and special tributes to celebrate the legacy of the world’s first superhero.
